When I decided to expand my business, I was prepared for it to be challenging. I took on a brand new building, expanded my service offerings and added new employees. It was my dream, but looking back I wasn't prepared around the complexity that comes with running a multi-faceted business.
I decided to engage the services of Siere, because I was aware of how they had been able to help others. Cathy came in and worked with me, to get clear on how each of my business streams, while complimentary to each other, also each required their own processes and ways of being measured.
Over the year, she helped me understand the critical targets we need to meet in each area of the business in order to be profitable. Today, at any given point of the month, I know where we are and what needs to be done to continue to build my business.

Belief #1 - I Know I Can Figure This Out
Chances are there is a product or service you have built your business on and potential customers who tell you they don't need you, because they can figure it out (there is Google, YouTube or the internet after all...lol!). You know they can figure it out, but chances are it is going to cost them a whole lot more time and money, and in the end it won't be what you are offering. After all, you have years in the game...years of experience.
It isn't that you can't figure it out. It is about recognizing what you are good at, and realizing that others are equally as good at what they do. Running a business is about making money so that you can do the things you want to do and live the life you expected to have, when you started.
Our business has been built around knowing how to build businesses. I can tell you, when we need an electrician, we don't waste our time figuring it out. When you are focused on the what makes you real money in your business, then you can afford pay for the expertise in the areas that aren't.
Belief #2 - I Can't Afford It
A lot of business owners, because they are not making a whole lot of money, choose to "cheap out" by trying to either do everything on a shoe string budget or telling themselves that something isn't important, when really it is important to your success.
The real consideration needs to be on whether their will be a return on the investment you make and and how long will it take to get that return. If I were offering you something and you would double your investment in a year, you would likely think that was an okay deal. But too many times, people look at the price tag and tell themselves they can't afford it before they even understand the other.
It takes money to make money and if you are struggling to make money, then likely you will continue to not make any money. Sorry, but that is the way it works and if you don't believe me, look at the companies that are making money.
Belief #3 - I'll Do It Later
Hope is an amazing thing. We all need to have hope, but too many times business owner fall back to hope, when they run out of answers. Unfortunately , hope won't build a business. Hope won't help you get more customers. Hope won't help you figure our how to increase your margins. Hope won't help you sleep at night or spend more time with your family.
If you want something different, then you are going to have to do something different. We recognize that we may not be your different, but you will never know, either way, unless you stop putting off making the call. You only have so much time to make the money you need to make, to have the things you need to have. You deserve to get more out of your business....make the call!
